Site Dedication

He will not break a bruised reed or quench a smoldering wick, til He brings justice to victory
Mathew 12:20, RSVCE
Remove Bishop Olson - Smoldering Wicks

This website is dedicated to all those bruised reeds and smoldering wicks who have been broken and put out by the dictatorial and heavy-handed actions of Bishop Michael Olson.  We question and test the fruits of his apostolic, pastoral actions and find them harmful.

We pray that by the removal of Bishop Olson, those who have been driven from the Catholic Faith will return; those who mock the Catholic Faith will be silenced; Bishop Olson will repent; and our diocese will be renewed in justice, unity, and peace.

I know your works, your toil and your patient endurance, and how you cannot bear evil men but have tested those who call themselves apostles but are not, and found them to be false.
Revelation 2:2, RSVCE

Hail, Holy Queen!

Hail, holy Queen, Mother of Mercy! Our life, our sweetness, and our hope! To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve, to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley, of tears. Turn, then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us; and after this our exile show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb Jesus; O clement, O loving, O sweet virgin Mary. Pray for us, O holy Mother of God That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Amen.

About us

About us - Remove Bishop Olson

We are made up from a diverse and prayerful group of Catholics in the Ft. Worth Diocese. We want the best for all the souls in our diocese.

Prior to coming together, we were individual groups who were suffering. Through recent developments in the news and a petition for an Apostolic Visitation for our diocese, we have learned that problems are spread all across the Ft. Worth Diocese.  We are more than just a “handful of dissatisfied people”.

We have now united as one group to ask Rome to remove Bishop Michael Olson as the bishop of the Ft. Worth Diocese.

Our group is firmly rooted in prayer and we believe that it is our devotion to the Rosary and to Mother Mary that has brought us all together and led us to this course of action.  There are currently at least 5 groups praying the Rosary daily with many more praying individual Rosaries for our diocese.

We are comprised of laity from multiple parishes across the Ft. Worth Diocese.  We believe that the best and only course of action is for Bishop Olson to be removed as our bishop.  We do not believe that his actions reflect that of a good shepherd.

Philip Gray, a canon lawyer and man of deep Catholic faith, has agreed to represent (free of charge) anyone who would like to pursue this action.  If you would like to be represented by him, please review the mandate section.

"In dangers, in doubts, in difficulties, think of Mary, call upon Mary. Let not her name leave your lips, never suffer it to leave your heart."

Philip Gray, a canon lawyer, informs us that we, the laity, have rights (and, indeed, obligations) under Canon Law to take action and that there ARE procedures that the Church has given us which we can follow to seek recourse for the untenable situation in our diocese.

• We are doing this IN FULL CONFORMITY AND OBEDIENCE TO SACRED SCRIPTURE and the very process created by POPE FRANCIS, using the process identified by our Lord and His Vicar of Christ.

• We feel it is our duty as laity to take this action in order to SAVE SOULS IN OUR DIOCESE.

Please review the links below to find out more about the mandates and the process to remove Bishop Michael Olson as bishop of the Ft. Worth Diocese.

“In accord with the knowledge, competence, and preeminence which they possess, [lay people] have the right and even at times a duty to manifest to the sacred pastors their opinion on matters which pertain to the good of the Church, and they have a right to make their opinion known to the other Christian faithful, with due regard to the integrity of faith and morals and reverence toward their pastors, and with consideration for the common good and the dignity of persons.”

Join Us In Prayer

Mary, Queen of Heaven and Earth, Pray for us!

Please join in in praying the Rosary daily.  There are many groups across the Ft. Worth Diocese who are praying a daily Rosary.  Find one of these groups and join them or please start your own group.

The Rosary is an absolutely beautiful prayer.  We do not know the path, but we trust that Mother Mary will set things right in our diocese!

Pray for our bishop and his staff, pray for our priests and deacons, pray for the laity, and pray for healing.

“Never will anyone who says his Rosary every day be led astray. This is a statement that I would gladly sign with my blood.”

Action Items for the removal of Bishop Olson

15 “If your brother sins, go and show him his fault in private; if he listens to you, you have won your brother. 16 But if he does not listen to you, take one or two more with you, so that by the mouth of two or three witnesses every fact may be confirmed. 17 If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector.
Matthew
18:15-17

Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Hail Mary

Full of Grace

The Lord is with thee

Our Father

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
